Q. What other activities can be provided?

Q. Can activities be provided in our own premises?
A. The purpose of the group is to link people to a variety of community activities that are sustainable and meet needs indicated by the participants. Organisational premises may be used for such things as central meeting/drop off point and for other such logistics as required that suit the purposes of the program.
Q. What constitutes southern, central and northern areas of the Gold Coast?
Southern – NSW border, north to Mudgeeraba and east to Miami
Central – North of Mudgeeraba to Nerang and east to Southport
Northern – North of Nerang to Logan River and east/west of the M1 Motorway
Q. Can we apply for cultural specific group?
No – as the number of PIR active participants would not be large enough to form a viable group
Q. Is there any chance of separate agencies partnering?
A. Yes, organisations can partner to submit one application.
Q. What do we do if we have more questions?
Q. Do I have to be accredited?
A. No, however GCPHN does require providers to comply with the National Mental Health Standards.
Q. Do we need to provide any information again (such as insurances) if the PHN already has it on file?
A. Yes, you will need to so the selection panel can assess the application as meeting all selection criteria.
Q. Will the PHN send a receipt to confirm that the application was received?
A. Yes, same or next business day.
Q. What is a good balance of information that is to be included in the proposal?
A. Section 6.4 Service Delivery Model is the section to include enough information to allow the selection panel to understand the service/s you will provide.
Q. What does evidence of financial viability mean?
A. Annual Report or audited financial statement.
Q. Is Workers Compensation insurance needed if the service is a sole provider and has the other required insurances?
A. Under law, an organisation is required to have Worker Cover when they have one or more employees.
Q. Will late applications be accepted?
A. No, applications must be received by the closing date and time.
