My Health Record tip for GPs

When checking to see if a patient has a My Health Record (MyHR), it is good practice to click on the MyHR tab in their clinical record. This tab may be highlighted in red, however this may just indicate the record has not yet been accessed by a healthcare professional or the patient.

If you are unable to access a red MyHR Tab in a patient’s clinical record it could also indicate that their Individual Health Identifier (IHI) has not correctly downloaded, which could be the result of one or more of the data fields used to validate their identity, as not valid.
For more information visit the My Health Record website or contact the Gold Coast Primary Health Network MyHR team on or phone 07 5635 2455 (and ask for the My Health Record team).
