Queensland Health are currently seeking expressions of interest from clinicians to be involved in the Paediatric Orthopaedics and Rheumatology Clinical Advisory Group (CAG).
Currently Clinical Prioritisation Criteria
(CPC) has been developed for 343 conditions across 24 specialty areas and cover adult (220) and paediatric (94) conditions (plus 24 paediatric/adults). Over 650+ clinicians across medical, nursing, allied health and general practice have been involved as members of Clinical Advisory Groups to guide the development of these CPC. The next specialty to undergo development is Paediatric Orthopaedics and Rheumatology.
At this stage it is envisaged that the paediatric orthopaedics/rheumatology CPC will include conditions relevant to both adults and paediatrics (respectively) therefore we are seeking involvement from clinicians specialising in adult rheumatology and/or paediatrics.
The timeframe for development of the CPC is anticipated to be 6-8 months. It is envisaged that the CAG will operate through a medium determined by the members i.e. email, face-to-face meetings (including via tele/videoconference).
