ADHD is a common condition which is often associated with poor long-term outcomes. It affects whole families, and GPs are the clinicians best able to deliver holistic patient and family centred care. When ADHD is stable, treatment can be safely delivered in primary care with specialist support and research shows that GPs want a more significant role in managing ADHD in these instances.
GPs may attract 40 Category 1 points, accredited as an active learning module through the RACGP QI&CPD Program (2017-2019 Triennium) and 30 Category 1 points through ACRRM. Conditions apply. Medicare rebates are also available for GP case presentations.
