Australian Psychological Institute

The Australian Psychological Institute is a boutique psychology clinic that specialises in tailoring very specific interventions for each individual.

Areas of expertise include all aspects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Director, Kaylene Alderton has over 20 years experience and is recognised as having been the main contributer in writing the 6 week live-in program on PTSD for Veterans attending the Currumbin Clinic.

Anxiety and the many ways it can be experienced, is also a focus area, including exam anxiety, court appearance anxiety,  and hospital admission anxiety to name a few.

Specialist services in Neuropsychology (clinical and medico-legal), assessment and reports are also available.  Kaylene, was the first Clinical Neuropsychologist to the Gold Coast District. She particularly specialises in Head Injury, and Alzheimer's ( diagnosis and modified counselling clients and families).

Notes on open hours:
office hours are 9.30am to 5.00pm however different practioners work different hours on different days. After hours appointments can be made by discussion with your practioner.

We are closed on public holidays

Fees & Charges

Please enquire for details Sessions with Kaylene are not bulk billed. Additional costs are paid before each session. However, associates are available who do provide a bulk billing service.
