Kids Helpline - Phone Counselling
Kids Helpline is Australia's only National, 24/7 counselling and support service for children and young people aged 5 to 25. They are celebrating 25 years of service.
They provide support to children and young people via telephone, WebChat and email, and offer information and referral, one-off counselling interventions and ongoing case management support in conjunction with face-to-face services. They also offer self-help resources via their website.
In 2015, Kids Helpline received about 300,000 phone calls and 720,000 unique web users.
The major areas of concern for young people contacting us include mental health (e.g. anxiety and depression), emotional wellbeing, and relationships, along with crisis interventions related to suicide, self-harm and child protection issues.
Kids Helpline is staffed 24 hours per day, seven days per week, by fully trained and qualified counsellors - many of whom have a background in either psychology or social work.

Kids Helpline is a complement to all Primary Health Networks, providing 24/7 support and counselling for children and young people.
