Aftercare Women's Group

What is the women's group about?

  • be connected with other women through listening and sharing
  • feel validated in a safe space where your own uniqueness and value is heard
  • develop new ways of looking at things and new skills
  • find acceptance and self-discovery
  • learn to trust in yourself and others through respectful sharing
  • recognise your own strengths and courage and that in others as well
  • develop a greater awareness of self-care and move towards being your own best friend
  • explore what it is to accept and know your own limits but also to set boundaries that lead to self-care
Amala Aldridge, facilitator

Amala has worked as a counsellor, body psychotherapist and workshop facilitator for over a decade. She has run women’s circles for many years and is passionate about supporting women to embrace their own journeys and feel empowered to live the lives they truly desire and deserve.

Trina McEwin, cofacilitator

Trina has worked in the community sector for many years as a support worker and educator in mental health. She brings to the group her own life experiences and understandings from her own mental health issues and her recovery. She is a strong advocate for self-empowerment, supporting the uniqueness of each individual’s journey in life, and the need for each of us as individuals to find the right choices for ourselves.
