BUMP Program

The Raise Foundation's Bump Mentoring Program is intended for young pregnant and parenting girls aged between 13 and 23. It is a fun way for the girls to meet other young mums, as well as have some much needed “me” time.

Bump includes fortnightly mentoring with an experienced mum as a mentor, and fortnightly workshops at various locations on different days. Bump graduates receive a TAFE Certificate I in Access to Work and Training.

All young mums are invited to join workshops to check out the program and meet some new friends, or catch up with old ones.

  • Groups will be held at Headspace Southport every second Thursday morning
  • The program runs from March to November, during school term only
  • Young people are matched with a TAFE trained mentor (who is also a mum) for ongoing support and help in improving overall health and wellbeing
  • Young people completing the BUMP program obtain a TAFE Certificate 1 in Access to Work and Training
  • Babysitting provided for workshops
  • Catering provided
  • Fun activities and/or guest speakers at each meet-up
Please email veronica.lister@raise.org.au or phone 0459 717 310 to register your interest in the next workshop, or for more information.
