Migrant Centre Organisation - Migrants Matter III

Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) focuses on developing an individual’s skills, supporting them to begin a cost-free (eligibility criteria applies) learning pathway to a certificate III qualification, and providing direct assistance to those Queenslanders that need extra support to enter and stay in the workforce.

The Migrant Centre Organisation’s Migrants Matter III Program will:

  • support access to undertake a certificate III level qualification
  • encourage participants to undertake training to enhance employment opportunities
  • build skills to maximise local job opportunities
Certificate III courses for 2015-16 include aged care, disability, health services assistance, community services work, home and community care, business, business administration (medical), hospitality and food processing.

Training duration: 10-12 weeks including a work placement.

Places are limited for 2015-16. Register for Migrants Matter courses today! Call 07 5591 7261 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm) for an appointment and ask about SQW’s eligibility criteria and training courses available.

Eligibility for Migrants Matter III SQW Community Work Skills include: Permanent Queensland residency (may be a temporary resident on a pathway to permanent residency) or New Zealand citizenship. You must have significant barriers and require complementary services, and have been accessing Australian Government services for more than six months but remain unemployed.
